“GUMBO GAME”- Objective: Each player is made a “SLAVE” and placed on the “PLANTATION”. That “Slave” must use their knowledge of Black History to earn money in order to buy their freedom before the “SLAVE AUCTION OF January 1, 1863” or be sold back into Slavery.
The “Slave” must buy “FREEDOM PAPERS” in order to leave the “PLANTATION”, they must earn enough money to ride on “THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD”. All the while, the “Slave” must travel through “SLAVE STATES” and “FREE STATES”, They must pull cards from the “CROOKED’S & STRAIGHTS” deck and face the consequences. Some “Slaves” will be caught by “SLAVE CATCHERS”, other “Slaves” will loose family members on the journey to freedom... Click the PLAY BUTTON BELOW TO SEE MORE...
