Our Missions
Remember the good old days when people got all fired up about sitting down with folks for a good ol' fashion game of high stakes “Monopoly”. Ever have a fight with someone over the shoe? Remember “Scrabble”, “The Game of Life” or even “Sorry”? Games that were special because they were not only great teaching tools but they allowed parents and siblings, relatives, friends and even new friends to sit down together and bond.
We spent hours laughing with one another, talking, asking questions, observing personalities and sharing secrets... all of these things took place during the span of time it took to play a game. Couples who wanted a safe and fun way to become familiar with one another would organize a game night, set out snacks, drinks and music. You would relax and enjoy the evening.
The 80's brought many changes to families across the world. Electronic games have replaced table games and so, people seldom come together anymore for fellowship. Today, we gather to watch movies which requires us to spend hours sitting, fixated on a screen with very little interaction at all. So, at the end of the night, you know as much about one another as you did before the evening started.
There is something special about the activity of playing a game that allows you to watch a person think through an action and respond to something that happens as a consequence. They moan.... they laugh... they sigh.... they scream, shout, jump and pump their fist in the air, all the while... screaming...
YES! YES! YES!.
Men, women and children alike can come together over a good table game. It doesn't matter if you are old, young, athletic, have quick or slow reflexes. With a board game like GOOD STEWARD, all things are made equal. Grandma doesn't have to know Michael Strahan and the rules of Madden 2003 to whoop your tale in this game. The only question is.... are you a better Steward of your finances than your opponent?
Simply put... we want to bring people together for hours and hours of fun, excitement and fellowship.
“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another...” Hebrews 10:25
